Cüneyt Dalyan

I was born in the beginning of the 70s in Eskişehir/Turkey, and being the only child of my family led me to find hobbies to pass time and entertain myself. Among these hobbies, my passion for music grew to an addictive level and I noticed that it was taking over other aspects of my life. This awareness led me to the desire of sharing the records I enjoyed listening to with others and gaining their appreciation. Mentioned desire of mine eventually turned into a wish to be part of the kitchen of music, so I started spending my summer holidays in DJ booths. The pleasure of entertaining people with music in a venue was definitely unique, but it felt even better to reach them in their own living spaces and be able to explore more free styles. With mixtapes I prepared not to disappoint my friends, this area became more accessible with the launch of private radios. My broadcasting life started at Eskişehir Genç Radio and continued by transferring to Istanbul's Number One FM, leaving my art studies halfway through, in order to reach bigger audiences. During the 90s I was hosting a 3-hour daily radio show at Number One as well as playing at Energy 102 and Kiss stations. While chasing new trends with Eclectrip that I did with Ömer Karacan and Berke Baş, I kept spinning records as a resident or guest at many popular venues on weekends. In 2000 I returned back to Eskişehir where now I own an Irish Pub and a music studio where I spend much time. I still enjoy putting records together and sharing them with people as much as on day one. Amongst the sets you will see below, Electron series is a Chill Out & Indie based radio program broadcasted on Radyo A (Eskişehir Anadolu University Radio) & Dinamo FM for approximately 17 years now; from electronic music invention till today anything related can come up disregarding time frames. The other sets contain what we are listening & talking about that week; sometimes like playing in a venue, sometimes for home listening or even considering car rides; without categorizing them under "good examples of genres" they can include different styles.
